Below is a transcript of speech delivered by Nasiruddin Patwary  at a rally on July 31, 2026:

S. Alam says, “How will I be saved now?”

He is told, “Invest more money in the business here.”

He asks, “Where should I invest?”

They tell him, “Put it behind Salahuddin.”

Brother Salahuddin has become the home minister, and now he calls all the businessmen and says, “How is the investment? Nobody else in Bangladesh will ever be able to make an investment like this.”

Another businessman speaks up and says, “You have invested behind the home minister, but I have invested behind the finance minister.”

Yet another says, “Forget about yourselves. I have invested behind the prime minister.”

They have betrayed our people.

“As you sow, so shall you reap.” Is that not the reality?

I am quiet today. I am not saying anything to anyone. There is no need to speak, because the time has come to take power into our own hands.

From today, businessmen across Bangladesh, unite. No matter how powerful the thug may be, we will no longer pay extortion money in Bangladesh.

From today, citizens who visit government offices, unite. No matter how high-ranking the officer may be, we will not participate in corruption by paying bribes.

From today, those of you whose children study at different institutions, go there and tell the headmaster and teachers:

“You eat the food and drink the water of this area. You receive respect from the people of this area. You must come to school on time.”

No more irregularities will be tolerated in Bangladesh.

Some people receive government salaries while sleeping at home. I went to one place and asked, “Where is the schoolteacher?”

I was told, “Look over there. He is working in the field.”

He earns two incomes at once. He is a farmer, a teacher, a multitalented young entrepreneur and an honorable worker for a political party.

Do you know why they need to be all these things?

During elections, some corrupt teachers, although most teachers are good, become presiding officers and organize a massive festival of corruption. That becomes a huge source of income for five years, enough to build a multistory house.

But whose money is it? Is it your father’s money?

It is the money of the people of Bangladesh.

We speak for the people. We do not need any position, and we have no greed.

You may remember a son of North Bengal. We went to his house.

His farmer father called him every day and asked, “Abu Sayed, did you get a job?”

The son replied, “No, father. I have not gotten a job.”

A few days later, Abu Sayed realized that everyone from the Chhatra League and Jubo League who had taken the examination with his group had received jobs, but he had not.

Abu Sayed decided to protest this injustice and took to the streets.

They shot Abu Sayed in the chest.

Abu Sayed could not believe that a person from Bangladesh had shot him in the chest. He thought the person coming to shoot him was his neighbor or his uncle.

They shot Abu Sayed in the chest again, and he collapsed in the street.

Abu Sayed went out that day as a representative of every one of you present here. He went out for the sake of your employment.

In two years, many people may forget Abu Sayed and his bloodstained shirt.

But, brothers, we will not be able to forget him for as long as we remain alive in Bangladesh.
