Bangladesh unveils trophy for 2025 Women’s Kabaddi World Cup

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus on Sunday unveiled the official trophy of the 2nd Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 at the state guest house Jamuna. Representatives from all participating nations attended the ceremony, which marked the formal start of Bangladesh’s first time hosting the tournament.

The World Cup will run from November 17 to 24 at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Dhaka and will feature teams from 11 countries, including Bangladesh, India, Iran, Chinese Taipei and Kenya.

Yunus said the event underscores Bangladesh’s growing leadership in women’s sports and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to delivering a world-class competition. Officials said preparations for logistics, security and accommodation are progressing.
