Former Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has dismissed speculation he plans to flee the country, vowing to remain and fight politically against the Sushila Karki-led administration.
Speaking at a youth wing rally in Bhaktapur, the CPN-UML chairman accused the government of trying to strip him of security and privileges while failing to protect him from threats of fresh attacks.
Oli, who left the prime minister’s residence on Sept. 9 after Gen Z-led protests toppled his government, now lives in rented housing after his Balkot home was torched.
Rights groups have blamed his government for police excesses that left dozens dead.
