Yaba haul of 100,000 pills recovered from car in Bangladesh

Police recovered 100,000 yaba pills from a car abandoned at a checkpoint in Chattogram, Bangladesh, on Thursday. Officers said the vehicle stopped on Mariner’s Road in the Kotwali area before the driver fled on foot.

Police said the search of the car led to the discovery of 10 packets of yaba tablets, each containing 10,000 pills, for a total of 100,000 pieces. Officers said they believe the vehicle came from Cox’s Bazar, a major entry point for yaba into Bangladesh.

Police said they seized the car and recovered a mobile phone inside that may help identify the driver. A case is being filed against unidentified persons over the seizure.
