Food aid for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh will be cut off by the end of November without urgent funding, according to the World Food Programme.
Carl Skau, WFP deputy executive director, said the refugees are entirely dependent on humanitarian support and face severe consequences if assistance ends.
The agency needs $60 million over the next six months and $167 million over the next year. Skau urged more international donors to step up, noting that the United States currently provides nearly 60 percent of all funding for the Rohingya response.
