Biman Bangladesh Airlines has extended the suspension of flights from Dhaka to Riyadh and Dammam until Nov. 4, citing passenger safety amid continuing attacks on Saudi Arabian airports.
The airline announced the extension in an Oct. 25 statement, The Business Standard reported. The deadline follows Bangladesh’s date and time; it does not confirm that flights will resume immediately afterward.
Passengers traveling to or returning from Saudi Arabia can use Jeddah and Medina as alternatives, according to Biman.
The carrier has operated two daily flights between Dhaka and Jeddah since Oct. 16 and plans to continue that service through Nov. 4. Regular Dhaka-Medina flights are operating with Boeing 787 aircraft.
Biman said further operational decisions and schedules would be announced later. Passengers should contact their nearest airline sales center for ticketing and travel information.
