Bangladesh-UK trade centre planned in London to boost investment and market access

British Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BBCCCI) plans to establish a British-Bangladesh Trade Centre in London to strengthen trade, investment, and business ties between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.

The chamber announced the plan at its Business Reception 2026 and inauguration of its newly elected committee at the Ivy Hill Hotel.

BBCCCI director general Musleh Ahmed said the centre would connect businesses, help companies enter both markets, identify partners, and support joint ventures.

“The main objective is to turn connections between British and Bangladeshi businesses into trade and create new business opportunities,” Ahmed said.

BBCCCI president Muhib Chowdhury said the initiative reflected the chamber’s commitment to building a modern, ambitious organization. M Nazrul Islam, Bangladesh’s acting high commissioner to the United Kingdom, delivered the keynote address.
