Ex-Bangladesh Land Minister Amasses Real Estate Empires in New York and London

Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, a member of the Bangladesh Parliament, who served as Land Minister up until January of this year, has built up a massive real estate empire in New York City and London, according to news reports. Chowdhury, also known as Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Javed, has 350 properties in London and at least five in New York City:

• Since 2016, his companies have amassed a UK real estate portfolio of over 350 properties valued at approximately $252 million.
• Chowdhury acquired at least five Manhattan properties between 2018 and 2020, totaling around $6 million in purchases.
